Toothache
Toothaches are a commonly occurring dental problem. Temporary palliative methods can be performed for relief prior to seeing a dentist. Such temporary methods may include rinsing the mouth with saline or warm water solution, the application of a cold compress to the area causing pain or the use of over-the-counter pain medications. Toothache can occur due to several reasons, including but not limited to the lodging of food particles in between teeth, broken/fractured/displaced teeth, cavities in teeth, gum infections and tooth infections. If pain persists, it is best to consult a dentist who can examine and identify the cause of pain and offer treatment accordingly.
